Bishop Steering Technology (BST) is part of the Bishop Technology Group based in Sydney, Australia, and a world leader in the development of automotive steering systems and their production techniques. Almost 25% of all vehicles produced globally each year contain components based on Bishop technology. Bishop's main products include steering racks with Bishop's patented variable ratio technology (BishopVR) and power steering valve technology.

BishopVR is a state-of-the art technology that offers an exceptionally wide range of steering variants including the recently released ActivRak technology, which allows chassis engineers to tune the yaw gain response of the vehicle via the rack gain.
 

Bishop offers an integrated product with full support to its customers, ranging from vehicle dynamics consulting and testing, through steering gear and component design, to the supply of prototypes, production tooling, machines and gauges.

BishopVR is also used in motorsport applications ranging from Formula 1 to Formula Student – Bishop's prototype capabilities are ideally placed to support the requirements of this specialized market. The latest product for the motorsport market is the Bishop Variable Boost Valve. From fingertip light to manual steering feel, this externally adjustable hydraulic valve is suitable for every vehicle setup and driver preference.
