Improved durability for new Vibracoustic hydrobush

Vibracoustic engineers have developed a hydrobush that withstands the loads and temperatures acting on the front axle, due to its high endurance strength, while isolating vibrations and noises in a reliable manner throughout the vehicle durability period.

Helge Schwarz, head of the production department, chassis, explained how this objective has been achieved: “The new hydrobushing gains further robustness and stability thanks, above all, to the integration of the stopper system. Outer stoppers are torn off in the long run under the effects of dirt. They also prevent the bushings rotating under the influence of cardanic forces to turn them off. This often leads to deformations and breaks on the outer sleeve. By contrast, no limits in terms of rotatability are set to hydrobushings incorporating a stopper system, and they can withstand effects exceeding 50kN as a result of an ingenious distribution of internal forces.”
