AP Racing, the brake and clutch supplier, is celebrating its 14th consecutive season as an integral technical partner of TOCA and the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).

As part of a long-standing partnership between AP Racing and TOCA, AP Racing is supplying all 27 race cars on the BTCC grid with brake calipers, clutches, brake discs, pads, pedal boxes, master cylinders and air jacks.

The 2023 KwikFit BTCC season got underway with a three-round opening weekend at Donington Park on 22-23 April. A further nine race weekends will host the remaining 27 rounds at Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Thruxton, Oulton Park, Croft, Knockhill and Silverstone – with returning visits to both Donington Park and Brands Hatch later in the season.

The 66th BTCC season, 2023 also marks the 13th championship season under the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) regulations. TOCA, the organisation behind the BTCC, is an advocate and long-time supporter of the well-established British motorsport supply chain. AP Racing’s relationship with BTCC dates back to 2002 when the company was selected as the single source of the competition’s brake and clutch components.

David Hamblin, managing director at AP Racing, commented: “We’re delighted to be entering our 14th season as part of our longstanding relationship with the BTCC. This season sees a number of changes to the sporting regulations so we’re excited to see how the cars before and how the season progresses.”

Sam Riches, technical director at TOCA said, “We’re big supporters of the UK’s motorsport industry – particularly the innovation and quality found across the supply chain. Our partners, such as AP Racing, enable us to showcase the best of British manufacturing and engineering through racing excellence. Since the beginning of our relationship with AP Racing, they’ve continually introduced pioneering brake and clutch solutions to the BTCC and we’re thrilled to have them onboard until 2026.”
