Hongfa claims to have designed the industry’s highest performance and smallest active suspension power system, with a goal to make this comfort technology available to more mid-range vehicles. The company says that key to the design is its balance of system size, weight and transient performance, against the requirement for higher efficiency, improved EMI, and symmetrical regenerative power capacity

The May 2025 issue of VDI has a focus on suspension technology, from insights into how the next generation will evolve, to the effects of shock absorber friction on vertical dynamics, and testing technologies. We also look at the latest exciting dynamics developments at Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and NIO

The VDI Awards recognise excellence across the dynamics sector, from development tools and test facilities, to specialist technologies, to complete vehicles and the teams that create them. Take a look at 2024’s finalists and winners, as chosen by the international judging panel

Randle Engineering has launched a public training course titled ‘Vehicle and Suspension Systems Engineering: A Course for Engineers, by Engineers’. Topics covered at the event, taking place on 25th March, include the theory of suspension geometry, and a range of specific ride and handling analyses for implementation into the vehicle development process
