LABA7, a developer and manufacturer of technologies for testing and measuring vehicle components and assemblies, has made its Shock Dyno Software available to all at no charge.
Anyone can now download the LABA7 Shock Dyno Software and explore its full capabilities at no charge, including opening and analysing shock dyno files, comparing runs, and evaluating data.
Users do not have to own LABA7 hardware: only data recording remains a feature exclusive to LABA7 dynos. Designed for all current Windows versions, the Shock Dyno Software updates automatically online and includes access to experimental features still in development.
Developed in-house by LABA7, the software combines precise measurement with intuitive operation. Fast test setup is enabled by automatic calibration, stroke and collision detection, and instant unit conversion. Multi-test automation manages complex routines such as velocity distribution or PVP testing, while built-in tools remove damper gas and spring forces for cleaner results.
The software includes all essential shock dyno graphs and supports external sensors, allowing additional data to be displayed and analysed in real time. Depending on protocol (SYD or EMA), the software can also generate Chirp, Sweep, and Pink Noise waveforms for dynamic testing, as well as import direct track data.
“We opened our software because transparency builds trust,” explained Andrius Liškus, CEO of LABA7. “Some still think good software has to be expensive, complicated, or locked down. We don’t. Convenience isn’t a compromise, and a modern interface isn’t just decoration. Those are signs of progress and good engineering – not shortcuts.”
The Shock Dyno Software allows users to open and analyse third-party files, including SYD and EMA formats. It provides the same environment used by LABA7 customers worldwide, and includes all analytical and visualisation tools without restrictions.
“We’re confident in the quality of our software. That’s why we’re comfortable letting engineers test, explore, and decide for themselves,” added Liškus. “Even if we receive some feedback, we’ll use it for future updates, which we roll out regularly.”
