Coinciding with the Chinese New Year festival, Kistler Group is celebrating the opening of its new office in Shanghai. This outpost has been set up to strengthen the Swiss corporation’s presence in the Chinese market, and to enable it to offer products and services from one single source to local customers.

“We see the opening of our new branch in Shanghai as the next logical step in our global corporate strategy,” stated Kistler CEO, Rolf Sonderegger. “This office is not only the future hub for all Kistler’s Chinese projects: it will also strengthen communication with our customers on the ground in China. It now puts us in a better position to assist them with comprehensive service, sales and technical support.”

The office is located in Shanghai-Hongqiao Business Park, close to China’s National Exhibition and Convention Center, and the 4,200 sq.m, seven-storey building accommodates around 100 staff representing Kistler’s Automotive Research & Test, Sensor Technology and Industrial Process Control divisions. The building also houses a technical center to support customers with services such as calibration, training, technical adaptations and repairs.
