Accuride Corporation unveiled the AeroLight concept study at the IAA Transportation in Hanover.

The completely new solution in truck wheel design is a one-piece flow-formed steel wheel that offers optimized aerodynamics and increases product safety.

Manufactured without any welding seam, AeroLight reduces turbulence and fuel consumption for a better CO2 footprint.

No wheel cover is required, which facilitates handling for trucks fleets. AeroLight gives commercial vehicles a completely new look, comparable to forged light alloy wheels. The innovative production process enables a product weight of around just 30 kg.

Accuride also enters the market with innovations for truck & trailer wheels using HSLA (High Strength, Low Alloy) steel.

The 22.5 x 11.75 IS 120 mm sets the new industry standard as the lightest European front axle & trailer wheel with a tare weight of 36,2 kg.

The brand new 22.5 x 9.00 HD wheel for e-mobility offers an optimized weight of 34,5 kg with a load capacity of 4.500 kg. Both wheels offer TPMS compatibility.

Accuride showcased a newly designed range of forged aluminum wheels for 22.5 x 9.00, 22.5 x 11.75 IS 0, and 22.5 x 11.75 IS 120.

These wheels are developed in Germany for European customers, offering TPMS compatibility and improved durability. These wheels will be introduced with Accuride’s ExtraPolish (XP) finish, with future offerings of a self-cleaning surface preparation.
