Hyundai Motor Group has appointed Dr Minwoo Park, an expert in autonomous driving technology, as the head of its Advanced Vehicle Platform (AVP) Division. He will also serve as the CEO of 42dot, the Group’s autonomous driving software and mobility platform development startup, to strengthen its competitiveness in software-defined vehicles (SDV) and autonomous driving-based vehicle software.
The Group says the appointment is part of an initiative to accelerate its transformation into a software-centred mobility company. Park brings expertise from leading tech companies, including NVIDIA and Tesla where he led autonomous driving development, from research through to commercialisation.
