GT Black Series to feature CVSA2 dampers

0

The sixth generation of the limited-edition Mercedes-AMG Black Series super cars will feature multi-stage adjustable damping provided by CVSA2 electronic dampers from Tenneco’s DRiV division. The GT Black Series features a range of cockpit-adjustable optional damping modes, from comfort to track settings. The electronic suspension system comprises lightweight semi-active dampers equipped with two externally mounted electro-hydraulic valves that independently control rebound and compression. The system’s control software monitors data such as steering wheel angle, vehicle speed, acceleration and body displacement to control the dampers for an optimal ride experience.

Developed in Affalterbach, Germany, the street-legal GT Black Series generates 537kW and 800Nm maximum torque, accelerates from zero to 100km (0-62mph) in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h (202mph).
