Vehicle integration & test engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of software into both simulated and real prototype/production vehicle environments

• Working with the system and controls team to derive the detailed test requirements and develop suitable test methods.

• Own the product testing plan, ensuring it meets the project timing and budget.

• Develop simulation tools that support a continuous testing methodology working with the cloud and in vehicle software teams.

• Specify and run the required test equipment, from desktop and bench testing to in vehicle instrumentation and electronic integration. This will include vehicle demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders

• Collect test data and perform data analysis

Required qualifications & experience

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering, or related technical field

• Expert in automotive or similar electronic and software integration

• Broad experience of test methods and toolchains for safety critical systems

• Vehicle Test driving experience

Desired qualifications & experience

• Knowledge of mechatronic chassis systems and vehicle dynamics

• Experience of 1D & MBS simulation control system integration & test

• Vehicle Test driving experience
