Automotive technology company, Aumovio, has entered into a far-reaching, long-term supply and development agreement with BMW Group intended to strengthen their business relationship and thereby expand their technology partnership.
The focus of the agreement is on collaborative series projects for braking technologies and electronics. Such projects can include Aumovio’s MK C2 integrated brake system as well as components and systems such as brake calipers and electronic control solutions for future vehicle platforms. The planned order volume amounts to more than one billion Euros.
Aumovio is a spin-off company from Continental’s former Automotive group sector, which was formed in September 2025 and has since established itself as an independent technology company. The Frankfurt-based company employs around 82,000 employees at more than 80 locations worldwide.

It demonstrates confidence in our innovative brake technology and at the same time motivates us to further advance the partnership between our companies and jointly shape the future of mobility,” says Philipp von Hirschheydt, CEO of Aumovio.
Plans for the MK C2 brake system
The companies have agreed to expand series deliveries of the MK C2 through the mid-2030s. The MK C2 is an integrated one-box brake system that combines the master cylinder, brake booster and control functions such as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) in a compact and lightweight module.
The system is designed to increase functionality and availability while also supporting key requirements of modern vehicle platforms, such as faster autonomous brake pressure build-up, efficient regenerative braking, and functions for highly automated driving.
As part of the agreement, both companies will amicably settle all pending legal proceedings in connection with an integrated brake system that Aumovio produced for the BMW Group when it was part of Continental’s Automotive group sector, through payments by Aumovio totalling 350 million Euros.
