Hottinger Brüel & Kjær (HBK) has launched Fusion RX, a road-load data acquisition platform designed to capture reliable load data for vehicle durability, fatigue, and performance validation.
Road load data acquisition (RLDA) uses sensors fitted to vehicles to collect data during on-road and track tests. This data forms the basis for validation of durability, fatigue and performance, enabling engineers to create accurate lab test profiles and validate simulation models.
RLDA systems operate on vehicles in demanding environments including proving grounds, off-highway terrain, and test tracks, where shock, vibration, temperature extremes, and time pressure are routine. HBK says the Fusion RX system has been developed to handle growing data volumes, higher channel counts, and the requirement for accurate results from a first test run.
According to HBK, the platform is suited to mobile testing in commercial, industrial, and military vehicles, where engineers face constraints including limited prototype availability, harsh operating conditions, and increasingly complex vehicle systems.
HBK says Fusion RX supports a transition from road measurement to durability analysis, simulation, and lab testing, positioning RLDA as part of an integrated product validation workflow.
